This bowl vessel appears to be old and has wear and damage as would be expected of an old piece. However, its age is not known, nor is its origin. There are no identifying markings. There are no cracks, chips, or breaks. The vessel measures 2 ½ inches in height.
 
Regardless of its origin and age, the vessel is interesting. It was purchased at a Native American auction in the 1980s-1990s (sticker still attached). Although purchased at a Native American auction, its origin and age are unknown and it may not be Native American. Since purchase at the auction, it has had only one owner. The vessel has been on display in a non-smoking home in an open, yet protective display case. The vessel would be perfect for the current popular farmhouse style, or anywhere there is a desire for texture, ethnic art, geometric symmetry, or a wish for natural earthy elements.
